Ricardo is a Licensed Social worker in New Jersey with extensive experience working with college students in higher education. He is skilled in helping individuals who are going through life transitions such as career changes, parenthood, divorce, etc. In addition, Ricardo is skilled in working with individuals 17+ years old living with a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. He enjoys working with LGBTQI individuals and those struggling with their identity issues due to religious upbringing etc.
Ricardo is passionate about working with Black, Indigenous, and Other People of Color (BIPOC) and normalizing mental wellness for all. Ricardo’s therapeutic approach focuses on helping the whole individual and uses a holistic approach. He uses aspects of trauma-informed, solution-focused, cognitive therapy to help his client.
Ricardo holds a masters in social work, a bachelor of science in sociology and criminal justice from Rutgers University. He is currently working on his Ph.D. in Social Work at Fordham University.
