Hello! My name is Alexis Irene and I have worked in the counseling field for the past five years. My background was originally in high school counseling and before that, I worked as a high school teacher. I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and adults and pride myself on being a great advocate for my clients and building a strong therapeutic relationship. I foster a safe space, free from judgment, and provide a calming presence in my sessions.

I have experience working with anxiety, ADHD, grief, trauma, and self-esteem building. For adolescents, I can help with school-related struggles, including school avoidance, and with the transition to college or the working world.

I also work with a variety of family situations including relationship building, non-paternal events and parental identity discovery, individuals trying to conceive, and new moms navigating their motherhood journey.

I operate under a strengths-based lens and utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques. I can help clients build mindfulness and grounding techniques. I have been known to use a bit of humor in my sessions, when appropriate.

I look forward to working with you and helping you manage life’s transitions and challenges!
