Valentina Castrillon
MA, LAC, NCC
Hello, my name is Valentina! I am a dedicated mental health therapist with experience supporting adolescents and adults in individual, family, and couples sessions as they navigate a variety of life challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-esteem issues, and substance abuse. My therapeutic approach centers on healing past wounds, fostering resilience, and providing clients with tools to build meaningful and fulfilling lives by staying grounded in the present moment. I am committed to helping individuals transform maladaptive thought patterns, reframe their mindset, and move toward becoming the best version of themselves. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported as they explore their experiences and gain new perspectives on life.
I received a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fairleigh Dickinson University, with a background in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience. I have experience working with incarcerated adults in processing past trauma and finding meaning amidst adversity as well as working with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, helping them uncover the root causes of their behavior and develop healthier coping strategies.
